1) Ngày xưa, đã mấy nghìn năm rồi, Kinh Dương Vương, vua nước Xích Quỷ, lấy Long Nữ là con gái thần Động Đình hồ. Hai người sinh được một con trai đặt tên là Sùng Lãm, hiệu Lạc Long quân. Lạc Long Quân nòi rồng, thích bơi lội ở dưới nước, lại rất khỏe mạnh. Lạc Long Quân nối nghiệp cha, cai quản đất Lạc Việt.

1) Il était une fois, le roi Kinh dương vương, du pays Xích quỷ, était marié à Long nữ (Dame Dragon), fille du génie du lac Động Đình. Ils eurent un fils, Sùng Lãm, aussi appelé Lạc Long Quân. Descendant du Dragon, Lạc Long Quân adorait nager, et avait une force herculéenne. Il succédait à son père pour gouverner le peuple Lạc Việt.
The legend of a hundred eggs
1) Once upon time, many thousand years ago, Kinh Dương Vương, King of Xích Quỷ, married Long Nữ, daughter of the genie of the lake Động Đình. They had a son named Sùng Lãm who took the title of Lạc Long Quân. Lạc Long Quân descended from the line of the Dragons; he had superhuman strength, and he liked to swim in the water. He succeeded his father and governed the Lạc Việt people.
