2) Căn cứ vào những di tích kể trên, ta thấy người Việt về thời đó sinh sống bằng cách săn bắn và đánh cá. Họ đẽo cành cây thành những cây lao mũi nhọn để ném hoặc đâm hươu, nai, cầy, cáo. Bằng hai tay không, họ ṃ cua, ốc, bắt tôm, cá ở ven sông.

2) Ces vestiges montrent que le peuple Việt vivait surtout de la chasse et de la pêche. Des javelots étaient fabriqués à partir de branchages, qui transperçaient cerfs, chevreuils, renards et loups. La pêche se pratiquait au bord de l'eau: ces peuples primitifs ramassaient les crabes, les crevettes, les coquillages et attrapaient les poissons les mains nues.
